Pueblo up 21-0 with 3 minutes left in the first quarter. Black Hills just outmatched.

Sykes is back for Pueblo and what a difference he makes.

34-0 Pueblo - much better play calling today, aggressive.

5 minutes to play in the 2nd quarter.

58-0 final in Pueblo, that performance was needed.

Mines with the win, 35-27. Gutsy 4th down call by Brandon from the 10 yard line for a TD. Good game, Dixie played well.

Mesa stomping Adams 35-7 in the 4th

Next week will be ugly for them too, yikes.

Was Bitson playing for Adams today? If he was out then their offense is pretty much non-existent.

Playing Black Hills, the offence and OC should look good. Not surprised the "D" pitched a shutout. Still find it hard to believe that Highlands beat next weeks opponent Western. Could Western been looking ahead to playing Pueblo with an upset in mind. Well they shot them selves in the foot with the musket. Pueblo should get healthy with easy wins over BH and Western for the playoffs.

Chadron State VERY fortunate to win a shootout vs SD Mines 53-48. SD Mines had a goaline situation in the final minute to go for the lead and likely win. On 3rd down, Mines qb misfired on a WIDE OPEN receiver standing on the goal line.

Chadron has never lost to SD Mines since renewing the rivalry but they have gotten very fortunate stealing wins in the final seconds against them multiple times.

It's the more aggressive playcalling that they needed to get back to that made it enjoyable to watch. That playcalling last week results in a similar score. Sykes returning seemed to give everyone, including the OC, a big boost.

With Angelo being upset I think there's a decent chance of seeing a SR3 team in round 1.

as things stand now, whoever you play will be a flight. No telling how the committee will work it out. Bracket wise, commerce looks to face harding, ouichita, or Pueblo. Both Arkansas schools are withing driving distance for us. Who knows?

The new format certainly makes it difficult to figure out whom the opponent will be that's for sure. I'd prefer to see someone from SR3, just to get a look at someone new.

Was out of town for the game, so I missed it. Tough lesson for the squad. Two pick-sixes by Malik Brown was the difference- along with 7 tackles and a forced fumble. Western will learn from this and come out fighting next week. They've improved a lot since last year. Excited to see the QB battle with a healthy Desch and Nethercot. Maybe next year they'll get over the hump with Mesa, Adams, Mines and CSU-P visiting Gunnison.
