I am not sure what you are getting at. I know that Chadron opened the season at Western last year, and is playing at Western on Saturday. It shouldn't matter if they played on a soccer field last year or not, I thought all RMAC conference games are alternated home/away every year all teams.
Westerns football field is under going renovations to field turf so they are using the soccer field for home football games. It happens from time to time that teams will play an opponent away two times in a row. I dont know why it happens as I do not have the details.
Pueblo at Colorado Mines - I have never picked against the Pack before. I am really hoping they prove me wrong.
Mesa at Black Hills
Chadron at Western Adams at Fort Lewis
Highlands at South Dakota Mines
Google Maps says Las Vegas to Rapid City is an 11 1/2 hour drive.
I can say as a former SD Mines player that we drove everywhere. The only time we’d fly was my red-shirt year when we were in the GNAC (rip). For the longer trips like Highlands and Fort Lewis, we’d leave Thursday afternoon/night and drive through the night. The worst trip ever was one time we drove the 16 hours to Dixie State (now Utah Tech) straight and our bus broke down in SLC on the way. The next time we split the trip there into two days and stopped at Green River on the way. The drive back immediately after the game was horrible.

Yeah, but that's if you or I drive it. Completely different with a bus full of 50 football players. Stops are longer and meals are really long. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it's like a 14-15 hour day - and then get ready to perform at your physical best. I never had to make that drive. I can see the physical benefit of flying and the financial benefit of driving. That gap starts to shrink if it becomes a two day trip.
To me, this is a real example of home field advantage, simply by sleeping in your own bed and not on that bus.
My original gut was Mesa then I got swayed and went back. Looks like it was a very good game.
Do you live in Spearfish by the way?
I felt bhsu gave an early lead to mesa and made some big mistakes. With all that they found a way to win. Defense played very well. Struggled with the QB when he scrambled.
I do not live in Spearfish however usually try to catch a few games a year if I can.
