I noticed that Southern Ark. and MSU have never played each other. SA is undefeated at home this season. The Mavs will need to get some hitting to have a chance; also Ward to keep down their offense.

            Re: 2018 NSIC Softball

MSU defeated Washburn and Augustana today to get a rematch with S. Arkansas May 12th. Regardless of the outcome tomorrow, the Mavs showed resiliency today, and the young players are getting valuable experience at the regional level. Meidl is the only senior; I don't recall a season when there have not been more of them on the team.

SAU 4, MSU 3 yesterday. Overall good season for the Mavs, and hopefully the young players benefited from the experience of making the sub-regional and playing four games there.

                  Re: 2018 NSIC Softball

UMD is on a roll, but SAU looks to be a very tough team to beat, especially playing at home in this upcoming series.

                    S. Arkansas wins the best of three vs. UMD in two games. They should be very competitive in the Elite 8.

Not NSIC related, but S. Indiana won the national championship today over St. Anselm in two games. So the 8th seed in the tournament won it all. The announcers said that at one time this season, they were 17-16. Apparently they got hot at the right time.

I went to Kato today to watch the Chicago Bandits take on a team from China and win 6-0. Coley Ries was the player of the game.

Highlights from that game. I'm sitting in the front row along first base line not far from home plate in the purple MSU short jacket.
