There have been four from a state in '88 (MA), '92 (MI), 94 (MA, MI), '96 (MI), '06 (MA), '12 (MI), and '15(MN).

In 2016 there were five Massachusetts teams in the tourney: Lowell, BC, Harvard, BU and Northeastern.

The final weekend of the WCHA is upon us and the possibilities for the playoffs and the math involved is making my head hurt. Here is the schedule:

Alabama-Huntsville at Bemidji State for two games (6 points)
Michigan Tech at Minnesota State for two games (6 points)
Ferris State at Lake Superior State for one game (3 points)

    Current Standings
Minnesota State 33 points (#1 locked)
Bowling Green 27 points (season complete, #2 or #3)
Lake Superior State 24 points (one game left, #2, #3, or #4)
Michigan Tech 20 points (two games left, #3, #4 or #5)
Northern Michigan 20 points (season complete, #5 or #6)
Bemidji State 18 points (two games left, #4, #5 or #6)
Alabama-Huntsville 8 points (seventh locked up)
Ferris State 3 points (eighth locked up)

What we know for the WCHA Quarterfinals (best of three series)
    Ferris State at Minnesota State
Bowling Green and Lake Superior State will be hosts
Northern Michigan and Alabama-Huntsville will be on the road
Michigan Tech and BSU still don't know if they will sleep in their own beds or in a hotel

I hope they enjoy their trips to Huntsville and Fairbanks (and Anchorage, if they save the program) as the rest of the WCHA is forming the new CCHA after this season.

Minnesota State clinches its fourth-straight #WCHA regular season title with an overtime win on Thursday. BSU tied it up in the last second, then the Mavs score in the last minute of OT>

Yep, a makeup of the non-conference game lost at the beginning of the year. MSU lost games this weekend with UAH who is in COVID Isolation, and BSU lost games this weekend with Lake Superior State, who is in COVID Isolation....
