Fairbanks has opted out of the 2020-21 WCHA Hockey Season.

Looks like UAH is offering up $25,000 per series to offset some of the travel costs in their talks with the CCHA and Atlantic Hockey.

Also there is a rumor floating around regarding Fairbanks. Some teams are balking at having to travel to Fairbanks this year with COVID being a hot issue, Northern Michigan has offered to allow Fairbanks to set up shop in Marquette and play their league games there. I have not found any confirmation of this, just what has been thrown around on the message boards.

Milwaukee School of Engineering has positive COVID cases, so no series with Mankato this weekend.

And the Ferris/UAH game was cancelled since it was a non-conference game.

Hearing that Ferris State may have to cancel games this upcoming weekend as they may have positive COVID results in their program.

BSU's non-conference series at Northern Michigan Dec 4-5 has been cancelled due to positive COVID results in the Wildcat program.

I'm afraid that this kind of thing is going to happen at least until New Year's- probably longer.

Kids go home at break, come back and bring exposure with them. Three weeks after break, we will be seeing cases again.....
