  • I wonder if any Lindenwood fans can confirm this.

    • "Pro Hockey Rumors" was among the first websites to run this story. Collegiate Consulting started a study in 2018 that is now outdated because they were looking into Lindenwood joining the WCHA. Some have said that Lindenwood has already announced this move but there is nothing on the Lions website.

I found this similar story. As a college hockey fan I hope it happens.

I hope they enjoy their trips to Huntsville and Fairbanks (and Anchorage, if they save the program) as the rest of the WCHA is forming the new CCHA after this season.

                • The final weekend of the WCHA is upon us and the possibilities for the playoffs and the math involved is making my head hurt. Here is the schedule:

Alabama-Huntsville at Bemidji State for two games (6 points)
Michigan Tech at Minnesota State for two games (6 points)
Ferris State at Lake Superior State for one game (3 points)

                  Current Standings
Minnesota State 33 points (#1 locked)
Bowling Green 27 points (season complete, #2 or #3)
Lake Superior State 24 points (one game left, #2, #3, or #4)
Michigan Tech 20 points (two games left, #3, #4 or #5)
Northern Michigan 20 points (season complete, #5 or #6)
Bemidji State 18 points (two games left, #4, #5 or #6)
Alabama-Huntsville 8 points (seventh locked up)
Ferris State 3 points (eighth locked up)

What we know for the WCHA Quarterfinals (best of three series)
                  Ferris State at Minnesota State
Bowling Green and Lake Superior State will be hosts
Northern Michigan and Alabama-Huntsville will be on the road
Michigan Tech and BSU still don't know if they will sleep in their own beds or in a hotel
