MSU had four really good teams play in Mankato this weekend. Friday top ranked defending national champions Grand Valley beat #18 Bemidji 2-0, while the #25 Mavs topped #4 Central Missouri by the same score. Today, Central Missouri beat Bemidji in OT 1-0 and the Mavs upset the Lakers 1-0, scoring with five minutes to go after being outshot 25-7.

Nothing like being there to see the top ranked team getting knocked off!

Two outstanding performances by the Mavs this past weekend. Coach Bahl and his staff seem to be doing outstanding coaching and motivation for the players; also recruiting well.

Late in the first half the Mavs lead the Peacockes 2-0.

I don't know who the UIU announcer is, but I'd like to have her read some Emily Dickenson to me. Melodic voice.

Final: MSU 6, UI 0. Another fine effort by the Mavs.
The announcer apparently is a Brit, and did very well. Very nice voice.

Unbelievable ending. Vetter looks like she was shot out of a cannon on that last run. Too close for comfort!

Mavs dominated the first half and had a 1-0 lead. SCSU looked better in the 2nd half. Mavs had their chances but couldn't get in done. I hate to lose but it is worse at home.
