I don't see Concordia even losing a set. There are at least 6-7 other teams in the Central Regional better than any of the other 7 teams in the National Tournment,, Sad really.

if they did this on the D1 one level only 1 Big Ten volleyball team would make the Tournament., We all know that isn't best.

So disappointing WSC didn't make it to Seattle, but St. Cloud was a buzzsaw in regionals. Good luck to the Golden Bears.

With the above honors, Wayne State has its first First-Team All-Americans in program history and along with the two honorable mention selections, marks the first time the program has had more than two athletes receive All-America honors.

#1s seed Concordia takes on #3 seed West Texas tonight in the championship game. Concordia has won 10 natties, WT 3. I've watched 28 WT matches this year and just watched replay of Concordia-Cal LA semi. I'd say Concordia is a 3-1 favorite to win it tonight. To win WT will have to be aggressive, play flawless D, and find a way to take Concordia out of system. That's a hard trifecta to pull off.

Congrats to both teams to advance to the final game!

            Go Lady Buffs!

                Did you watch?

That was some great volleyball and great competition! I was worried WT would come out nervous and get down early. You know- playing CONCORDIA- that Concordia MOJO. If the WT girls were nervous it didn't show (whew! he wipes his brow).

I enticed a friend (usually ONLY a sad WT football fan), into watching the WT semi-final match. He was hooked enough to watch the championship game last night. He called me raving about how exciting it was to watch. He went on for 2-3 minutes and at the end of his rant informed me next season he'll be a season ticket holder. Ha!

Man, #8 (Mulvahill -sp?) for Concordia is a very special player. She reminds me of a WT girl named Sarah Butler, the NCAA POY, on the '97 WT championship team. WT was resilient, getting down 3 times in various sets by 5 points, they always chipped their ways back in. I was extremely impressed with Concordia's defense. Boy howdy, can they dig it out! I thought WT was just a little bit better on the nets and in the serve. WT's big freshman, #4 Tatum Stow, had a great debut this year. 6'3-4, she's a force in the middle-a big blocker who can also score in our 6-2 system.

WT loses 2 seniors, Elliot and Nash, for next year. 26 straight wins to end the season and a good chance to keep that rolling next year.

BTW, Concordia only loses one senior. It would be great to see a rematch in next years finals!!!!
