Mavs beat Michigan Tech 3-2 to take their 6th straight CCHA title. Sounds like the last minute was incredible.

I just wanted to give the Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks a nod. They're an Independent now and are 20-10-2 with two games to go.

And their Pairwise is high enough that if the season ended today, they would be in the NCAA Tournament.

Looks like Minot State's club hockey team has lined up some exhibition games against NCAA D-I teams Denver and Colorado College next year.

The Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks rounded out their 2022-23 regular-season with a huge statement win over Lindenwood. With an 8-0 victory on Saturday, March 4, the Nanooks finished the regular-season 22-10-2, the most wins by a Nanooks team since 2001-02.

Alaska Anchorage hasn't faired as well as Fairbanks, the Seawolves are 7-19 on the season with two games left to play against Lindenwood on March 10 and 11. But it's good to have them back in action after a two year hiatus. I hope they can finish out the season with at least one more win.

Here's a good article about the Alaska Anchorage vs Alaska Fairbanks ice hockey rivalry. The Nanooks went 6-0 against the Seawolves this season.

CCHA Semifinals are set. Both are one game affairs.

#6 Ferris State at #1 Mankato
#4 Northern State at #2 Michigan Tech

Highest remaining seed will host the Championship game.

I feel bad for Alaska, I was hoping that they would get in.

I think that Michigan got a real break here.

I made it to the CCHA championship - the locals might be used to the insanity but this was my first real go-around, maybe except for the MacNaughton Cup game this year.

                                That was nuts.
