Sometimes the NCAA has things absolulte land in their lap for seeding purposes. Such was the case with the NCAA Women's lacross bracket released today, specifically the Mid-West region.
During the season Regis Universitry beat GVSU and Indianapolis head to head, and finished with the best record in the region. Indianapolis, lost to Regis, but beat Maryville twice and GVSU once, Maryville did not play Regis, but lost twice to Indianapolis, but beat GVSU. GVSU had a single loss to Regis, Indianapolis, and Maryville (plus to the #4 seed in the southeast). GVSU also head wins over the two teams closest but not in, Colorado Mesa and Walsh. The NCAA really did not have to do any work what so ever to seed this region.
