    @ Pittsburg
    #1 Pitt vs #8 ARTech
    #4 Northwest vs #5 Augi

    @ Claremore
    #2 Rogers vs #7 Southern
    #3 CentralMO vs #6 Mankato

The only changes from the last regional rankings are Augi jumped from 8 to 5, Southern fell from 5 to 7, Mary fell from 7 to out and ARTech jumped from 10 to 8 as an auto qualifier.

Consider this my seasonal declaration that regionalization sucks! Both Emporia State and Lenoir Rhyne baseball are ranked in the top 35 of the pearatings NET and Faktor Sports KPI and do not make their regionals while there are two teams, Goldey-Beacom and Felician, that are ranked over 110th in both of those metrics that get in as at large teams.

I do think MoSo deserves a spot in the NCAA Tourney but I will point out that ESU has a higher overall winning percentage, in region winning percentage, in region RPI and KPI and went 10-10 against NCAA Tourney teams while Southern was 4-10 against NCAA Tourney teams. And the head to head was 2-2 with ESU winning in the MIAA tourney in the most recent meeting.

Mary had their best ever D2 baseball season but probably missed the playoffs by one game, just like they did in women's basketball this year. You never know when someone is going to get upset.

Interesting how Mary built their baseball roster, by recruiting a lot of Canadian young men along with N. Dakota and western US players.

And yet their Club Hockey Team only has four Canadians.....

I had a buddy at BSU who was from Canada, played professional fast pitch softball in Australia for a couple of years after HS, then came to BSU. Tried out for the baseball team and made it, but blew his knee out playing intramural hockey.

Augie faces a huge challenge playing #1 seed Pitt St. on their home field. Hope Vikes play well.

Mavs just had no scoring punch in the regional. Competitive in game one after the first inning, blown out of the water in Game 2.

Another 40 win season. Mav fans are spoiled, we expect that every year.

Vikings and Mavericks have a number of rivalries and baseball is one of them.

Not D-II, but th Alexandria Tech and Community College Legends are having a great season, ranked #6 in the Nation at their JuCo level. They are in the Region Final today with a berth to Nationals on the line. They have pretty much built their team with players from small town, central Minnesota schools over the last couple ofnyear.

And, they did win the region today, so they are off to Nationals.

Augustana defeats Gorillas to force a 2nd game in the regional championship. The winner goes on to face UCM Mules in the super regional. Beating PSU again on their home field will be a tall task, but Augie has an excellent team.

Go ATC. Minnesota produces a lot of great baseball players. The number in MLB surprise many southern people.

Yeah, there is a lot of good baseball around. With HS ball, and then town team ball, a kid can get some decent time on the diamond before graduating. Some of those small town ball fields in Central MN rival some college fields, and with more fans.

First round, they were down 10-0 in the fourth to Rochester when the game was suspended due to rain. Picked up the next morning, the Legends battled back to take the game 13-12, walking it off with a three run homer in a five run ninth. They then beat Century and St. Cloud Tech to take the title.

Their coach left St Cloud Tech College where he had built a great program for Alex to start one from scratch. Didn't take him long to do the same there. If I was a D2 school I'd hire him. Very decent guy in the limited time that I met him.
