IUP runs to victory over Mercyhurst
This game played out the way many expected. It was a strength against strength matchup of two strong running teams. The Crimson Hawks out slugged the Lakers with 290 yards rushing, 231 of it from star running back Harvie Tuck. The senior went over 200 yards for the fourth time this year and also eclipsed 4,000 yards for his career. The win moves IUP to 7-1 and keeps them firmly in the hunt for the post-season. Mercyhurst falls to 6-2 and theymust win-out to have a shot at a playoff spot.

It seems cruel for Lock Haven to come so close only to be denied one more time. But credit has to go to Fiscus and his teammates for a tremendous drive in the final minute. For Lock Haven, there are many positives to take away and with struggling Gannon up next on the schedule, they have reasons to believe that they can and will win.
