Bloomsburg and Slippery Rock won their respective divisions on Saturday and will meet for the Conference Championship next Saturday. Slippery Rock won the West division outright while Bloomsburg secured a three way tie with West Chester and Shippensburg. All three teams finished 6-1 in the division but since none of three teams had head-to-head victories over the other two, the league went to the second tie-breaker, which is record in conference mandated cross over games (games against PSAC West opponents). This tie-breaker eliminated Shippensburg. The Raiders went 1-1 in cross overs while Bloomsburg and West Chester went 2-0. With Ship eliminated from the tie, we go back to the first criterion between Bloom and WCU, which is head to head competition. Bloomsburg holds that advantage, so they will represent the East division in the championship.
The PSAC Championship Game will kickoff at Redman Stadium at 12:30pm next Saturday. The game will also be shown live on PCN.
Here is a recap on all the action from the last week of divisional play.
Bloomsburg wins PSAC East with bounce back win at West ChesterNext Week: Bloomsburg will host Slippery Rock for the PSAC Championship while West Chester will try to rebound against 4-6 Clarion. The Golden Rams have a tough loss to get over, but if they defeat Clarion to finish 10-1 they should still be in a good position for the post season.
Slippery Rock wins PSAC West Division Title
Next week: The Rock moves on to the PSAC Championship game at Bloomsburg. Seton Hill has a huge game as well. They will travel to Cheyney to determine who will finally get into the win column this year.
Mercyhurst grinds out 3 point win at California Next week: California finishes the season at Millersville while Mercyhurst will take on the streaking ESU Warriors.
IUP offense erupts in 55-20 win over GannonNext Week:Edinboro wins home finale 9-7 Next week: Edinboro will travel to Kutztown for a very interesting match up. The Scots will be fighting for a winning season and the Bears will be trying to close the year with three straight wins. Clarion travels to West Chester to face a pissed off Golden Rams team.
East Stroudsburg routs Millersville 66-7
Next week: East Stroudsburg will host Mercyhurst in what should be a very even and competitive match up. Millersville will be visited by an angry and possibly dispirited California team.
Kutztown pulls away from Lock Haven for second straight winNext Week: Kutztown has an opportunity to close out the year with a three game win streak if they can defeat a banged up Edinboro team. Lock Haven will end the year by hosting Gannon.
Ship Shuts Out Cheyney to Tie for First Place in PSAC East
Following up a huge, emotional win on national TV is hard to do when you have to go on the road to play one of the most out manned teams in Division II. But The Raiders showed up and played pretty well in a dominant 42-0 game in which Cheyney gained only 102 yards of total offense. With three TDs in eight catches, wide receiver Trevor Harman broke the Ship school record for receiving touchdowns in a season (20). Harman was already the record holder with his 19 TDs last season.
Next week: Ship has a huge matchup at home with 8-2 IUP. Cheyney will have their last (and best) shot at victory in a meeting with fellow winless team, Seton Hill.

As hard as it is to believe, we're now heading into the final week of the season. For most of the teams, this Saturday will be it, so make plans to get to out to your school to support the players and coaches as they close out the year.
