Week 7 has a pretty darn good slate of games. The action kicks off Thursday night with Edinboro hosting Gannon. You can read my preview of that game Here.

Also, if you missed it earlier this week, a complete run-down of the 16 conference teams was published
Here.

Here is the Saturday schedule for Week 7.

Lock Haven (0-6, 0-5) at Cheyney (0-6, 05) 1:00#12 Bloomsburg (6-0, 5-0) at Kutztown (3-3, 3-2) 1:05

Last week: Kutztown was soundly defeated at home by West Chester in the Thursday night contest. Bloomsburg rather easily won their homecoming game
41-0 over Millersville.

Bloomsburg has dominated this series for two decades, with Kutztown winning just once in the last 20 years. But in recent years, it has been a very difficult match up for the Huskies. A year ago, a youthful Bears team frustrated the Huskies for most of the day and did an outstanding job against the normally dominant Bloom running game.

I think this game could look a lot like last year's. The Golden Bears have been doing a very good job against the run and Bloom hasn't been quite as
successful with the power running game as they usually are. Bloom will have to be efficient with the passing game to move the ball and loosen up the defense. They have had success doing exactly that in recent weeks. Tim Kelly has been very efficient for the past month and has found some favorite targets downfield in D.J. McFadden and Trent Daniels. They willalso need to get the tight ends involved and if running the ball is a tough go, they'll need to work in the short passing game with possession receivers Connor Gades and Chad Hoffman. The Golden Bears had a hard time covering all of West Chester's receivers.

Bloom's defense has the advantage of seeing exactly what West Chester did last week on film. The Rams took away Kutztown's running game, which most
decent teams have been able to do, and as long as they didn't give Chad Barton too much time to improvise, the Bears had a very hard time sustaining drives. Bloom's defense has a lot of the same strengths as West Chester's so the game plan should be similar.

Kutztown is a young team that can be inconsistent, so they may be due for a bounce back game. I think Bloomsburg's defense will be the difference.
