SAC
Lenoir-Rhyne Carson-Newman Newberry and Tusculum are still in play but they are long shots at best. Both teams are only going to have 9 D2 games played and that could hurt them.

CIAA
Bowie State, Virginia State and Virginia UnionFayetteville State is holding up honors in the south but I would be shocked if any south division team has a shot at the post season after week 11.

SIACMorehouse Benedict is having a quietly good season at 4-1 with the only loss to Florida Tech. Benedict plays Morehouse on Oct. 20. No one else in the SIAC is playoff material this year.

GSC
The GSC has two unbeatens (Valdosta State, West Georgia), two single loss teams (West Florida, Florida Tech) and a pair of two-loss teams (North Greenville, West Alabama1. Lenoir-Rhyne (5-1, 4-0)2. Carson-Newman (4-2, 3-1)
3. Newberry (3-3, 1-1)

4. Tusculum (3-2, 2-1)

Tusculum was in need of a morale boost for their offense after a humbling night at Lenoir-Rhyne two weeks ago, and they got it. The win over Mars Hill showed a remarkably more efficient passing game with Tommy Pistone and Alex Ogle sharing the snaps. Both looked sharp in leading the offense to more than 500 total yards. The Pioneers lost the head to head meeting with LR but they are only a game behind and have a huge opportunity to jump into the title race if they can knock off Newberry this weekend.
