Western New Mexico (2-6) v. Angelo State (3-4): Saturday, October 28th 6PM
San Angelo, TX
Game Analysis: WNMU had some luck go their way last week. They more than likely would have lost last week, if the opponent QB had not gone down. The Rams are having a good season, minus losing a few games here in there. Will ASU be able to slow down the #8 passing team?

#9 Texas A&M Commerce (6-1) v. West Texas A&M (3-5): Saturday, October 28th 6 PM

Game AnalysisTexas A&M Commerce 42 WTAMU 13

UTPB and MSU are coming off big wins. The Mustangs are the top dog in the LSC right now and are in a key position to make the NCAA Playoffs. In order to keep those hopes alive, they have to keep winning. The Falcons ran the ball 63 times last week, the most in their history. They accumulated 373 rushing yards for 4 TDs. UTPB executed a good game plan last week and it paid dividends. This team keeps getting better each week.

Midwestern State has looked really good for such a young team. QB Rabb has looked good, the offense has looked good and the defense is coming up with stops. This team is on par for another berth in the NCAA Playoffs. This week is a playoff game for them and so are the next several. The team has to step up some more on the defensive side of the ball. Giving up 400 yards per game is not going to get them far.

Texas A&M Kingsville (3-5) v. Eastern New Mexico (6-1): Saturday, October 28th 8PM
Portales, NM

The Greyhounds come off a bye week and the Javelinas come off a disappointing home loss to Tarleton State. Kingsville has been getting it together on the offensive side of the ball with Cade Dyal. The defense has also stepped and made big stops in opponent backfields. The team has just missed too many key opportunities; especially, early on this season. I believe most of the early season offensive woes have been fixed. The Javelinas have a tall order against a ENMU team that leads the nation in rushing offense and rushing defense. Kingsville will have to execute the pass to make a dent in this ENMU defense.

The Greyhounds are in a must-win scenario moving forward. Each week the Hounds are in a playoff scenario, if they want to get to the NCAA Playoffs. The rushing game is their bread and butter, as we all know. The #4 national ranked rushing defense is top (64.3) in the conference and this may be the best team since the team won a share of the LSC title. The task is a simple one, win. If the Hounds can improve their passing defense, even by 25%, they will be in prime position for a good NCAA Playoff run.
