We have reached the final week of the season. Many players will play a competitive football game for the final time this week.

Pace (3-6, 2-6 NE-10) @ Southern Connecticut (4-5, 4-4 NE-10)

When: November 11th, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: Southern Connecticut leads the series, 20-1-0

My Thoughts: Two teams headed in opposite directions.

Pace fell on the road to Stonehill 56-30. The defense had no answer for the passing attack of Stonehill but did not go down without a fight. The Setters had their best offensive output of the season. For Pace to win on the road, they are going to need to stop the Southern Connecticut rushing attack. The offense will also need to move the ball and score early and often.

Southern Connecticut went on the road to defeat St. Anselm 35-28. The Owls have won three straight and playing like they were supposed to from the opening of the season. They continue to run the ball with ease and have a chance to finish at .500 for the season. For Southern Connecticut to win the game, they will need to continue the same formula of the past three weeks. Run the ball with ease and make plays on defense.

Southern Connecticut will end the season on a high note.

Prediction: Southern Connecticut 34 Pace 21

Merrimack (3-6, 3-5 NE-10) @ New Haven (6-3, 5-3 NE-10)

When: November 11th, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: New Haven leads the series, 6-2-0

My Thoughts: Both teams are coming off tough losses.

Merrimack lost on the road to LIU Post 49-7. The Warriors were not able to slow down the Post passing attack and fell behind early. The offense could not mount much of an attack and finally found the end zone in the fourth quarter. For Merrimack to win the game, they will need to move the chains on the first drive. The defense will need to apply pressure and force some turnovers.

New Haven dropped a tough overtime game to Bentley 27-24. The Chargers led in the fourth quarter but allowed a long touchdown to tie the game. They had the ball first in overtime but failed on fourth and goal. For New Haven to win the game, they will need to play with the lead early. The offense will need to move the ball and the defense will need to make plays.

New Haven will end the season on a high note.

Prediction: New Haven 24 Merrimack 10

LIU Post (7-2, 6-2 NE-10) @ St. Anselm (1-8, 1-7 NE-10)

When: November 11th, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: LIU Post leads the series, 13-0-0

My Thoughts: Playoffs on the line.

LIU Post defeated Merrimack 49-7 to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Pioneers came out of the locker room on fire and it did not slow down all afternoon. The passing attack was clicking and the defense was not allowing anything. For Post to win on the road, they will need to just keep their game plan from the previous four games. Solid offensive contributions from everyone and a defense that does not allow many yards.

St. Anselm fell to Southern Connecticut 35-28. The Hawks played from behind most of the game but were not able to slow down the hot Owls. The offense made plays but the defense had no answer. For St. Anselm to win the game, they will need to find a way to slow down their former quarterback. The offense will also need to control the clock.

LIU Post is on a mission right now and nothing will slow them down.

Prediction: LIU Post 45 St. Anselm 17

American International (2-7, 2-6 NE-10) @ Stonehill (5-4, 4-4 NE-10)

When: November 11th, 1:00 PM

All-Time Series: American International leads the series, 21-0-0

My Thoughts: Could this be the time?

American International lost to Assumption 40-3. The Yellow Jackets hung with the top team in the league for the first 15 minutes but everything changed for the rest of the game. They were not able to move the ball despite controlling the clock. For American International to win the game, they will need to move the ball and find the end zone. The defense will need to apply pressure and force Foltz into bad decisions.

Stonehill had a record breaking day in their 56-30 victory over Pace. The Skyhawks rewrote the record books for the program and the NE-10 as Matt Foltz had a solid day. His favorite target Andrew Jamiel was open all day. For Stonehill to win the game, they will need to find the seams in the AIC defense and not allow them to force turnovers. The defense will need to make tackles and force three and outs.

Stonehill will finally get their first win against American International.

Prediction: Stonehill 31 American International 14

Bentley (5-4, 5-3 NE-10) @ # 12 Assumption (9-0, 8-0 NE-10)

When: November 11th, 1:00 PM

All-Time Series: Bentley leads the series, 26-4-0

My Thoughts: Classic rivalry.

Bentley won an overtime thriller 27-24 over New Haven. The Falcons avenged two straight tough losses as they held the Chargers out of the end zone in overtime. The underclassmen continue their stellar play and they will them more than ever this weekend. For Bentley to win the game, they will need to find a way to slow down the explosive Assumption offense. Their offense will need to play a flawless game as well.

Assumption downed American International 40-3. The Greyhounds were slow out of the gate but eventually did what they have all season long. They dominated in all three phases of the game and now face one more test for the regular season. For Assumption to win the game, they will need to replica their effort from the previous nine weeks. Solid in all three phases of the game and execute it to perfection.

Assumption will take care of business.

Prediction: Assumption 38 Bentley 13
