It is Week 10 in the NE-10. The calendar has flipped to November and the games seem to get bigger and bigger.

# 16 LIU Post (8-0, 7-0 NE-10) @ Southern Connecticut (4-4, 3-4 NE-10)

When: November 3rd, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: Southern Connecticut leads the series, 15-13-0

My Thoughts:Prediction: Post 34 Southern Connecticut 14

Assumption (5-3, 5-2 NE-10) @ Bentley (3-5, 3-4 NE-10)

When: November 3rd, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: Bentley leads the series, 27-4-0

My Thoughts: Revenge?

Assumption dropped their second game in a row, this time to LIU Post 21-7. They struggled to move the ball against a strong defense and the driving rain storm. As has been the case in their three losses this year, they fell behind and were not able to catch up. The Greyhounds need to come out on fire and execute from the first drive of the game. They can't play from behind and expect to win in this league.

Bentley scored late to defeat St. Anselm 20-16 last Saturday night. It was a seesaw type of game and the weather played a factor in the victory. The winning points were courtesy of a fumble that Bentley capitalized on. The Falcons need to move the ball early and often. The defense will need to account for all of the weapons that Assumption has and not allow them to make big plays.

Assumption has a chip on their shoulder and will get back on the positive side of the score.

Prediction: Assumption 38 Bentley 17

Stonehill (1-7, 1-6 NE-10) @ American International (0-7, 0-7 NE-10)

When: November 3rd, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: American International leads the series, 21-1-0

My Thoughts: Someone will end their losing streak.

Stonehill battled New Haven but fell 12-7 in the rain. They battled one of the top teams during a horrible weather day and nearly pulled off the upset. The Skyhawks will need to establish their running game early and then apply pressure to force the opposing quarterback into mistakes.

American International fell to Merrimack 14-0. They were not able to slow down the Merrimack offense and then were not able to convert on third down. They were 0-14 in the game and need to be better in that area. The Yellow Jackets need to make some plays with their defense. A pick six or fumble recovery for a score will help to energize them.

Stonehill has always struggled against American International and Saturday will be no different.

Prediction: American International 13 Stonehill 7

Merrimack (4-4, 4-3 NE-10) @ Pace (5-3, 4-3 NE-10)

When: November 3rd, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: Merrimack leads the series, 17-0-0

My Thoughts: Good matchup.

Merrimack defeated American International 14-0. Their defense did not allow a third down conversion in the win and the offense was able to move the ball through the driving rain. The Warriors need to move the ball on the ground to set up their passing game. The defense will also need to strong against the Pace running game.

Pace won their second overtime game of the season by defeating Southern Connecticut 14-7. It is the most wins in a season for Pace since 1999. They played strong defense and delivered with a touchdown pass in extra time. The Setters need to establish their running game to control the clock. The defense will need to slow down the wide receivers of Merrimack and not allow them to make big plays.

This game will come down to the final minutes and that is when Pace seems to excel.

Prediction: Pace 27 Merrimack 24

St. Anselm (1-6, 1-6 NE-10) @ New Haven (7-1, 7-0 NE-10)

When: November 3rd, 1:00 PM

All-Time Series: New Haven leads the series, 7-2-0

My Thoughts: Trap game?

St. Anselm lost to Bentley 20-16 on a late touchdown. It was a back and forth game the entire evening before a late turnover was the difference in the game. The Hawks will need to play a mistake free game and channel some of the past success they have had on the blue turf.

New Haven escaped the elements with a 12-7 victory over Stonehill. They scored the first 12 points of the game and for the second week in a row, they held on for the victory. The defense got into the scoring column again to help jumpstart their seventh victory in a row. The Chargers will need to come out of the locker room fast and never look back. The defense will need to make tackles and the offense will need to make some big plays.

New Haven is the better team and will win going away.

Prediction: New Haven 38 St. Anselm 10
