The Cavaliers defeated Tusculum College in the opening week of the season, 13-10, in a game that had 7 turnovers. Well they found an offense to match the turnovers. UVA-Wise and Urbana combined for 6 turnovers; but the score escalated despite the numerous lost possessions during the game. UVA-Wise won a similar game against WV State 39-37 when it was a battle of dueling passing attacks.

Quarterbacks Brycen Lee (36-43-387-4-1) and Tajuan Green (25-60-427-5-1) combined for 814 passing yards and 9 touchdowns. Corey Hilberath (11-116-1) and Jacob Cousins (5-79-2) led the receiving corps for the Cavaliers while Trevon Saunders (9-131-2) was the primary target for Urbana.

The Cavaliers have shown their grit as they continue to produce come-from-behind wins; and their efforts have locked up a winning season where they still have the potential to finish a highly respectable 8-3 if they win their remaining two games.
