Offensive Helmet Stickers:
Jordan Ollis, RB, Brevard (31 car, 127yds, TD) : What a great win for Ollis and the Tornados to build upon heading into 2013. I know Murden was out for Newberry but Brevard came to play and won the game handily. Ollis averaged over 100 yards per game over his last three games and found paydirt in all three. The Air Force transfer gets two more years in the BC blue and black.
Reuben Haynes, QB, Lenoir-Rhyne ( 2-3, 17 yds, 14 car, 130 yds, 2 TD): Haynes polished off the 2012 SAC championship run with another impressive performance. He did it by overcoming an early injury and taking the blueprint from Major Herron last season to a title. Haynes scored a TD in 7 of the 8 games he played this year and the Bears didn't lose a game he finished.
Robbie Nallenweg, QB, Wingate (18-29, 316 yds, 3 TD, INT): Nallenweg put his finishing touches on 2012 with a 3 TD performance against the Pioneers. Despite the interceptions, he led the league in completion %, yards per game, and TD's as a first year starter.
(Just outside the huddle- Brandon Baker/Haywood, RB/QB, Carson-Newman, Andrew Nallenweg, RB, Wingate, Shaikel Davis, RB, Mars Hill)
Defensive Helmet Stickers:
Wingate Defensive Line: They combined to sack Bo Cordell 8 times and were part of a defense that held Cordell to his lowest passing total ever. Ernest Bridges & Nick Napolitano combined for 5.5 of them along with 8 tackles for loss. The Wingate defense finishes #1 in SAC play in yards per game.
Carson-Newman 2nd Half defense: For the second straight week, in a crucial part of the season, the Eagle defense dominated the second half in a close game. Great adjustments made to hold Tusculum to just one score while shutting out Mars Hill over the final 30 minutes in both games. They will enjoy the week off to get ready for what we all want: a rematch withe the Bears.
Jasper Mason, LB, Mars Hill: Mason had a huge day in a losing effort. He finished with 19 tackles and a sack. He started the season off with two solid games but struggled in the middle. Mason ended a high note with 53 tackles in his last three games along with a pair of sacks.
Special Teams Helmet Stickers:
Jarrod Spears, KR, Lenoir-Rhyne: In an overlooked part of Saturday's game, Catawba scored with 41 seconds left in the first half. Spears takes the ensuing kickoff 95 yards to the house to take all the life out of the Indians. If Catawba had scored during the first five minutes of the second half, you never know what kind of game iit ends up as. Spears also scored a rushing TD on Saturday.
SAC Week 10 Pick 'Em Helmet Stickers
"CAT U FAN", "BulldogFan#1" (4-0 record): CAT U FAN does it again and dominates 2012 pickem. Had a lot of perfect records and will be getting an offer from me for next year to pick my games. Bulldogfan#1 also nails Brevard upset to pick up a sticker.
How about this for a helmet sticker design?
