As happens in a lot of seasons there was a lot of "hubbub" after the brackets came out. That was true here in SuperRegion 3, and especially when it comes to which GLIAC teams made the field. As we all know by now, Saginaw Valley and Wayne State (congratulations to each) will be in the field and their 7-3 and 8-3 records respectively earned them entry. Now, to say that those records alone got them isn't entirely accurate...namely because Hillsdale and Grand Valley (and Minnesota State for that matter) checked in at 8-3 but were left out of the field. For some, the fact that Hillsdale won the GLIAC out-right and yet didn't make it is a crime. For others, Grand Valley was likely playing better than any team in the league at the conclusion of the year, and isn't the committee trying to get the "best" teams into the field? Sure there is plenty that could be discussed...
...HOWEVER, I think everyone needs to remember that the criteria that can be looked at are as follows:
Primary Criteria.
