Hey All.

Just wanted to take a moment and extend an enormous THANK YOU to all of you in the GLIAC Community for reading by work over the past six years. It has been an absolute honor to be a part of your football weeks, and the wonderful feedback and interaction I have had with you has been terrific.

As with most things in life, they don't last forever...and unfortunately my work on the GLIAC blog is no different. I am truly blessed to have the career and family obligations that I do, and they simply are not affording me the time it takes each week to cover things the way I want...and frankly feel that this league deserves. Plus, after that many years I think it is good for the blog to have a new voice and you all should enjoy some new perspectives, etc.

I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for Brandon and his staff, and the incredible opportunity they provided me to make my dream of covering sports a reality. To have had this as a hobby like I have is a rare and amazing thing, and his trust in me to represent the site and the standards it has set is not lost on me. In addition, my family has been beyond supportive of my love for sports and D2Football. Many hours have been logged at computers, in cars, on planes, and in pressboxes as a part of all of this, and none of that could have happened without their desire to share in the joy I derive from being involved with this league. To them I extend the biggest "thanks", including the biggest of all to my wife Becky...to say that I "out-kicked my coverage" in landing her may well be the greatest understatement in history.

Now, I am not going off the grid. I'll still have some involvement with D2Football.com, and Brandon and I will be working through what that will look like in the weeks to come. In addition, I am thrilled to announce that I'll be doing some things directly for the GLIAC that are a better fit for the amount of time I have available during the season. I have already written some team briefs that will be posted soon (both in print and on-line), and I'll be doing much of the posting for the league's new exclusively football Twitter feed, @GLIACFootball. We'll try and work on a few other things for the league as well, and I'll keep you posted as those progress. I absolutely welcome any and all questions or thoughts on things, so feel free to PM me here, send me notes at [email protected] or [email protected], or via direct tweet on Twitter @GLIACFootball.

To all of you, again, I give my most humble thanks! I look forward to continuing to enjoy the finest league in the country with you!

Tony
