Here's some random playoff stats for you if you are bored at work like me haha. All since the Division II tournament expanded in 2015:
- 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seeded teams are 40-32 in first round home games. In fact, 2017 and 2018 saw top four seeded home teams go 5-7 each year.
- #1 seeds are 16-4 in their first games off the bye and win by an average of 23.2 points.
- Out of a possible 20 #1 seeds over the past five years, only 12 have made it to the national semifinals.
