Limestone's Josh Simmons signs with Bears

Congratulations and best wishes to Limestone's defensive back Josh Simmons on signing with the Chicago Bears. Josh had a total of 93 tackles playing safety for the Saints along with 6 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries and 8 pass breakups. Josh was named AFCA All-American and played in the NFLPA All-Star Game. I thought he had a chance to get drafted but signing with the Bears is really a great situation for Josh, especially since former Limestone head coach Mike Furrey is on the coaching staff.

I really like his chances on making the team. Additionally, Josh played on all of the Saints special teams and this is the role Josh can excel to make the roster for the Bears.
