The girls who are not returning are Karley, Jayla, Nyalam, Karee, and Azia. Jayla came to Wt her first year as a Sophomore due AP classes in high school. She is getting her Masters in May. Karley also came as a Sophomore and will probably marry this summer or fall
after getting her degree in May. Azia is leaving the game, she is no longer playing anywhere. Karee, who never played, has been asked not to return. None of our players are leaving by the portal.
Kayla Kane's sister from Welling is joining her. IDK anything about her. Two local girls, Tatum Bell (AHS) and Avery Carter (THS), have signed LOI, just not announced. Look them up they are impact players. They could be starters. Also, adding a Jr. college point guard, whose name I don't recall. Blinn Jr. College I think.
The two surprise signings are out of the portal. Claire Graham a Jr. point from ACU who was a part-time starter. The big signing is Taylor Haygen, who is the LSC Freshman of the year from St. Marys. She averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds per game. She will give Wt a good presence inside. There will be no lack of talent or depth. The question is, can they play together and win??

Thanks for the info. There have been several HS recruits announced by WT. 1 - Presley Kane on 11/13. Guard or Wing; 2 - Braylen Lusby from Spearman on 11/28. She is a good scorer. Guard or Wing; 3 - Sofi Woodson on 2/8. 6’2 post from OK; 4. T. Bell on 2/9.

Have seen Carter’s name mentioned in PressPass Sports as a commit.

Roster had 12 players. Take the 5 you mentioned are leaving, that leaves 7 returning players.

That adds up to 15 players. 8 will be new.

Will be interesting to see how this comes together. Hope they are able to get the new players on campus for the summer so they can work out together and get integrated as a group.
