You are right, I do not know you, and my exposure to you is very limited. Regardless of context, it was a shock to read it. My first thought was, "Why would this ******* think I would condone that comment?" There is no indication on the board of my race, nor yours, so it seemed odd. Usually, whites who want to make racist comments make them carefully and not in mixed company; it's a dilemma, to be sure. Sometimes I know them to be pretty good folks. in general, and I have alienated a few by disagreeing, but what else can I do? Racism is still alive and well, unfortunately, and we have to be vigilant not to let it proliferate.
