I assume you are talking about Dewey McDonald? My understanding is that he was injured last August and redshirted the 2012 season, leaving him with one year of eligibilty. If he transferred I would assume Mike Lopez (Former Fairmont head coach, now Cal DC) convinced him to make the move. If he is back to 100% by the start of next year, it will be a fabulous pick up for Cal. Watch his YouTube film. I think his size may be slighly overestimated but his quickness will really jump out at you. He doesn't wait for the play to come to him, he attacks, makes great form tackles and forces turnovers. He should be an all conference and all america candidate if he's healthy.
