First, a look at the Regional Rankings
Emporia State and Northwest Missouri are your playoff teams, if the playoffs started today.
Emporia would actually host Northwest in first-round action in the battle of the 4 and 5-seeds for a chance to play Minnesota State.
Missouri Western, at No. 9 in Super Region 3, is the only other MIAA team listed in the first Regional Rankings, which include 10 teams from each of the four regions (Top 6 make it into the playoffs).
That leaves Washburn and Pittsburg State both on the outside looking into the Regional Rankings, but still firmly implanted in the quest for MIAA supremacy.

Who do you think will be left standing when the sun sets on Nov. 10 and who's names will be called the next day, on Selection Sunday?

#5NW Normal commented10-25-2012, 04:44 AMEditing a commentTonight the fight to see who wins the MIAA and who gets playoff spots takes us to Emporia. Who wins? If it is a shoot out, I'm taking the Hornets. If it is ball control I'll go with Hill and the Griffs. Saturday it shifts to Topeka and the 'Bods hosting the Bearcats. Gotta go with the hot team in Green! Read Bob Eblen's column, he thinks that Northwest is playing good football and should win. Get on the turnpike, pay the toll, exit at Topeka and watch an exciting game.
