Here's a look at 10 players who really stepped it up in Week 1 victories in MIAA football. Did I miss anyone?


Brady Bolles: The senior Northwest Missouri QB had a touchdown each on the ground and in the air to go with 236 total yards and 0 turnovers in the Bearcats' 31-0 rout of Nebraska-Kearney.

Shaq Cooper - The Hays RB was 1 of several standouts for the Tigers in their last-minute victory at Central Oklahoma, rushing for a TD and 163 yards and adding TD grabs of 26 and 6 yards for his only 2 catches.

Andrew Flory - The Fort Hays receiver was 1 of only a few MIAA wideouts to eclipse 100 yards in Week 1, finishing with 112 yards on 7 catches.

Brock Long - The FHSU linebacker was 1 of 2 Tigers (DB DeAndre James) with 10+ tackles. Long finished with 14, James with 13.

John Roderique - The freshman transfer for Pitt State scored 3 times on the ground, rushing for 91 yards. He was also 10 of 16 through the air with no INTs in his team's 38-14 victory at Northeastern State.

Michael Rose - The PItt RB had 127 yards on 17 carries with 2 TDs.

Brent Wilson - The only MIAA passer to hit the 300-yard mark in a win this week, the senior for Emporia finished with 330 yards, 3 scores and another 35 yards rushing in the Hornets' 38-20 victory at Missouri Southern.

Billy Greco - When Central Missouri couldn't fins the end zone early, their kicker made up for it. Greco hit his first 4 FGs, from 45, 28, 31, 46 and 42. He later missed a 42-yarder that gave Western some additional hope near the end of the 18-17 UCM victory.

Connor Harris - The Lindenwood LB had 15 total tackles and a pass breakup in their 20-14 win over Washburn.

Mitchell Foote - The Emporia State receiver took a punt to the house for 88 yards on his only return of the game and added 50 yards on 3 catches and another score.
