Clark Atlanta (0-3) at #3 West Georgia (3-0) @ 2 PM ESTMy Pick: Wolves 48-0
Shorter (0-2) at Southeastern Missouri State (1-2; FCS) @ 2 PM CST
Shorter had their hearts ripped out last week as they were very close to winning the game over FCS up-start Kennesaw State. I saw improved play of the offense, mainly by being able to connect on a few pass plays as they tallied 135 passing yards. There was also continued good play by the defense, especially in the red zone, and they also snagged an interception that set up the only touchdown of the day. The Hawks gave up 417 yards but held the Owls to four field goals in several trips inside the 20 yard line.
SE Missouri State lost pretty big in their opening week to FBS/SEC Missouri but are 1-1 since then in very close games with other FCS schools. They beat Southern Indiana by 3 at home two weeks ago and lost by 1 on the road against Indiana State last week. They scored on the last play of the game against the Sycamores but decided to go for the 2-point conversion and failed.
I predict the FCS squad will get a win over Shorter for the second consecutive week.
My Pick: Redhawks 20-3

I am hoping Techs defensive can continue it strong play vs. the run and the offense stay balanced. If they can, they have a real shot at an upset. When does Delta State play West Georgia, that is a game I would like to see.

#3TheBraveWolf commented09-24-2015, 02:56 PMEditing a commentWill Hall is such a class act, that he will not allow the score to get too high, but he will turn his second and third string players loose as soon as the game is within hand. He has held back several starters that were hurt before the season began to allow them to fully heal. When UWG travels to West Alabama you will see the first string and that should be fun... The road gets difficult as West Alabama is just the warm up.
