I was given an opportunity to speak with Ouachita Baptist Head Football Coach Todd Knight and Quarterback Kiehl Frazier about OBU Football and the upcoming season. Below is a transcript of our conversation. [Editorial note: Parts of this interview were edited to preserve the flow of the conversation.]

Armo
: Coach Knight, Kiehl Frazier thanks for taking time out of your schedules to speak with me today about Ouachita Baptist Football.

Coach Knight

Armo
: Coach Knight, last year you beat expectations with one of the best defenses in the GAC and one of the more balanced offenses that led the conference in Time of Possession. Looking first at the offense, could you discuss what it means for the upcoming season to have so many offensive players returning?

Coach Knight

Armo
: A key player of your offense last year was Running Back Chris Rycraw, who graduated. How do you overcome the challenge of replacing such a big impact player like Chris Rycraw?

Coach Knight

Armo
: Kiehl, besides having a chance to play with your brother, what set Ouachita apart from other schools in your decision regarding where to transfer?

Kiehl Frazier
: Ouachita is a place I knew pretty well before I even started thinking about transferring. My high school coaches played here. I had come to a few games, plus other than my brother here at OBU, I had another brother that played in the Gulf South against OBU. I already knew a lot about them, and then when I got done visiting with the coaching staff and everybody here, I felt like this was the best fit for me.

Armo
: Coming from Auburn, what challenges have you faced in learning the offensive schemes at Ouachita?

Kiehl Frazier

Armo

Coach Knight

Armo
: You open the season on September 13th at home against Southern Nazerene. Talk about what having that extra week of practice does for the team as you prepare for the upcoming season.

Coach Knight

Armo
: Coach, Kiehl, once again, I want to thank you both for taking time to discuss Ouachita Baptist football with me.
