: Yes, SOSU won 52-49 against UAM, but 49-points? And 30-points the week before given to SAU. Then there is the yardage: 557 total yards to UAM, and 563 total yards to SAU. That averages out to 560 yards yielded per game. Defense wins games and a team cannot win games when it is giving up 560 yards per game. The defense really has no excuse for not doing better when you consider they are getting plenty of rest given that the offense leads in rushing yards per game and averages 30-plus minutes of possession.
