Today Northwestern Oklahoma Rangers head coach Alan Hall announced he is stepping down effective immediately due to health concerns. In a statement released by the school today Hall thanked the Northwestern Oklahoma administration for allowing him the opportunity to lead the Rangers in their transition from NAIA to the NCAA. Hall also thanked the Northwestern Oklahoma community for support during this time and indicated that he felt he needed to focus on long-term health.
Assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Kevin Turco, who has led the team during coach Hall's absence, will continue to lead the team until a permanent head coach is found.
On a personal note I would like to say that I have enjoyed my interactions with coach Hall. We wish coach Hall a speedy restoration to full health as our thoughts and prayers go out to him, his family and the Ranger football family during this time.
