Shippensburg (1-2, 1-0) at Millersville (0-3, 0-1) 12:00
Millersville played a very good football team last week and discovered that they still need to make a lot of improvements on both sides of the ball. #25 California (3-0, 1-0) at #8 Indiana (3-0, 1-0) 1:00Rushing attack:Passing offense against pass defense: To dovetail on the previous remarks, Cal is going to have the throw the ball to win. This was the case for them most of last season as well, and it got them into big trouble when they had to insert an untested freshman backup quarterback. That freshman backup is now sophomore starter Cody Schroeder. I like what Schroeder has done this year and he certainly has come a long way from where we was as an inexperienced freshman. The pressure is going to be on him to carry the Vulcans to victory. It will be a tall order against an exception pass defense, but the pressure was on in the second half of the season opener at Hillsdale, and Schroeder delivered. Three very well executed scoring drives late in the game propelled the Vulcans to victory, and that experience may prove to be invaluable. With Schroeder distributing the ball to Mike Williams, Trey Johnson and Kowan Scott, IUP will certainly face its biggest challenge to date.
