Super Region 1 First Round Playoff Breakdown

There is nothing like playoff football, and this weekend delivers a pair of very interesting matchups. The four teams in action represent three of the four conferences in SR1. If West Chester and Slippery Rock can both win, the SR1 bracket would be whittled down to three PSAC teams and one MEC teams. Of course that's what we're hoping for, but will it happen?

WSSU didn't make the CIAA Championship game in 2010.

They lost to Shaw and St. Aug in the Southern Division.

Shaw went on to beat Virginia State in the 2010 CIAA Championship Game.

Cal did not have a good passing game. Rock played ok vs. Ship, tail of two halves needs to stop today. Rock has a good rush and must avoid getting beat by the deep ball. Slow WSSU down! Run defense will be better. WSSU had a few games under 30 this year, it'll be interesting. I would be shocked if the Rock scored less than 30. I'm picking Rock of course, but this game ends up in 30's-40's.
