Shippensburg opened both halves of play with three straight touchdown drives in Saturday's 42-24 win at Lock Haven. The Raiders built the lead to 42-10 by the end of the third quarter before Lock Haven closed the gap with a pair of fourth quarter TDs. Chris Lawshe had a great day, completing 35 of 45 for 322 yards, 3TDs and 0INTs. As usual, Trevor Harman was the man with 15 catches, including a PSAC record-tying 58th career touchdown. Harman is tied with former WCU great Mike Washington with five games to go in his senior season.
The offense provided a healthy lead, but Ship linebacker Cortlin Dell also contributed to the scoring with the Raiders' final points of the day. Dell picked off Lock Haven QB Caleb Walton late in the third quarter and returned it 24 yards for the score. Once again, the Bald Eagles had a decent day throwing the ball but were unable to establish a rushing attack. They did have four drives of 60 yards or more.
