After three weeks, the fun really begins this Saturday as we kickoff the seven week gauntlet of divisional play. There are a handful of really interesting match ups this week, including three games that match unbeaten teams against each other. It's going to be a busy day with early games kicking off at noon and the evening games won't wrap until around 9pm. Enjoy!

Notes from around the region
Northeast 10, only three teams have two or more wins (Assumption, LIU-Post, Bentley) but all three have looked like contenders for the NE10 title and the post season. There are two huge games involving these three in the next two weeks. This Saturday, Bentley will be at LIU-Post. Assumption hosts Post next Saturday.

The Mountain East has four unbeaten teams, led by defending SR1 champs Shepherd. Glenville State, Fairmont State and Notre Dame are also unblemished. All four teams are 3-0. At least one will take a loss this weekend when Shepherd and Notre Dame face each other at NDC. Glenville is at Uva-Wise, Fairmont State plays out of conference at Alderson-Broaddus on Thursday night.

Five more teams stand at 1-2 overall in the MEC and are already facing elimination from post season contention. Charleston, a playoff team in 2015 is already out of the picture this year at 0-3, along with West Liberty.

In the CIAA, Virginia State is leading the pack right now. The Trojans (CIAA champs in 2014) are 3-0 with all wins over D2 opponents. They have a huge match up this weekend with defending champs Winston-Salem State. The Rams have a fine win over Catawba on their resume, but lost to UNC Pembroke in the opener and to Virginia Union last week. Both losses were at home. This is a do or die game for the Rams to keep post season hopes alive, so this will be one to keep an eye on Saturday night.
