Game of the Week in the SIAC:

Tuskegee vs Fort Valley

Both of these teams are on their way back to being perennial teams in their respective Division in the SIAC. Tuskegee wants to show its supremacy of old, and the Wildcats of Fort Valley are prime to show everyone that they belong in the conversation of Divisional Powers. This the second true test for the contenders in the conference (Miles vs ASU was the first). The schools are less than 120 miles apart. Get there early as a capacity crowd is expected. Two offensive minded coaches will butt heads (TU Willie Slater and FVSU Donald Pittman). I expect a high scoring game, even though both have stellar defenses, the coaches will find a way to exploit each other defense. Expect this one to be a defensive battle and low scoring the first two quarters. The coaches will adjust and we will see Coach Donald Pittman win have his most significant victory to date in the SIAC. I must admit I love when the TU band plays "NECK" . The trip is worth the opportunity to stand and hear neck blasting from those horns. See you there!

Upset of the week: FVSU 37 TU 33

Players to watch: Tuskegee Derrick Washington (RB), Gene Stewart Moody (P), Adontavius Turner (DL), and Aaron Bennett (DL)

Fort Valley State University: Justin Rosenbaum (P-PK), David Garbo (C), Chris Slaughter (WR), Antonio Henton (QB), Dajaun Williams (S), Seth Hill (RB), Leron Furr (LB) and Josh Johnson (Rover)

Lane College vs Stillman College- Stillman has too many weapons on offense for Lane. Stillman 27 Lane 13

Miles College vs Benedict College-Miles continues its roll and anticipated showdown with TU. Miles 45 Benedict 10

Kentucky State University vs Albany State University- Albany State woes continue, although they win ASU 28 KSU 20

Clark Atlanta vs Morehouse College - This game came in a close second to the game of the week. Image your biggest rival school, resides less than 2 minutes down the street. Some of your best friends decided to attend the other school and you just have a genuine disgust for the other school. It makes for the best recipe for hard-nose football. Morehouse Pre-Season All-American David Carter will have his best game of the season. MH-41 vs CA-13
