While ESU QB Braxton Marstall is having himself another fine year (and is slightly ahead of Mezera in total offense), Mezera leads the league in passing and is second in the league behind Chas Stallard in passing efficiency through three games. Most importantly, he is 3-0.

While UCM kicker Alex Langer is 6 for 6 on field goals this year, he has failed to convert 4 PATs. Brown, however, has converted every single placekick into points, going 3 for 3 on FGs and 15 of 15 on PATs. Showing a good leg, 11 of his 21 kickoffs have been touchbacks.

I don't disagree with that at all. Perhaps they should make a change allowing an option where the "ejection" can be deferred until the ruling can be confirmed by video (Unless it is an absolute clear foul that cannot be questioned). If the foul is confirmed, that player sits a game. This obviously wouldn't work in the playoffs, but those games could have better access to video for a quick in-game decision.

i also think the targeting call should be potentially called on the ball carrier. this is for the "head to head", not defenseless player call. how many times have we seen a defensive player come in low for a hit only to have the ball carrier lower his body at the last second causing a head to head collision, and the defender gets the penalty. not every time, but it has happened.

I would bet Jordan Thompson will be seeing plenty of playing time after today. Speedy, runs tough. Liked what I saw from him today. If lucky, NW might get Jones back in couple of weeks. Injury bug continues to hit NW with Shane Williams going down. Ugh! Fortunately for NW, very deep at WR this year.
