Missouri Southern State 21
Washburn 49
It was all touchdowns in this one, and the Lions made it interesting in the first half, only being down by a score (21-14) at halftime. They made a switch at QB, starting Scott Brayden, and he was responsible for all three MSSU touchdowns, including a third quarter touchdown pass that pulled the Lions back within seven with a little over 6 minutes left in the third. Unfortunately for Lions fans, the Ichabods blew the game open on the next two plays from scrimmage, first connecting on a 75 yard touchdown pass and then intercepting Brayden and running it back 20 yards for a touchdown to double up the score 42-21. The Lions never really threatened again, and a fourth quarter 92 yard touchdown drive by WU provided the final margin. The Ichabods outgained the Lions 570-279, with 262 coming on the ground.
