The Riverhawks kept things interesting for about half of the first quarter, answering a Mule TD with one of their own to tie the game at 7-7 at the exact halfway point of the opening period. However, the Mules added three more TDs and a field goal in the first half to take a 31-14 lead into the locker room, and cruised the rest of the way for the win. The Mules racked up 720 yards of offense, breaking the 300 yard barrier both on the ground and through the air, and punted just one time, although they did turn the ball over three times. NSU QB Cade Yeager had a nice game, completing 31 of 58 passes for 337 yards, three touchdowns and an interception, but was outdone by the signal caller on the other side of the field. Brook Bolles completed 24 of 32 passes for 380 yards, a touchdown, and an interception, and added 100 yards and two rushing touchdowns on thirteen carries to earn MIAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week. The Mules were three yards short of having three players hit the century mark in rushing yards, as running backs Koby Wilkerson (138) and Devante Turner (97) each averaged over 6 yards per carry.
