Besides the Bearcats and Gorillas losing, there were some other losses around the region that shook up the Regional Rankings. With one week to play, here is what they look like with the remaining opponent each team will play this week:

Miners Bowl
The MIAA decided to scrap Rivalry Week in the last week of the season, but at least we have this one. One of the more heated rivalries in the league, this one has been relatively one sided for a couple decades now, with the Gorillas holding a commanding lead in that time span. The problem for the Lions over the past few years has been on the defensive side of the ball, and they will likely finish in last place in total defense for at least the third straight year. The Gorillas are nowhere near as prolific on offense as they were in the beginning of the year, falling from 2nd place all the way to 9th over the past few weeks as the schedule got tougher, but they will probably have plenty of success in the 2018 Miners Bowl. The Lions have shown some signs of fight this year, and have been slightly more competitive this year compared to last year, but I think the talent gap between the two teams is just too large for them to overcome.
