Thoughts around the LSC:

Things were shaken up this week. We have 2 undefeated teams left in the Lone Star Conference, but after this week there will be only 1 unbeaten team. There are several good games this week that we will get to watch this weekend.

Midwestern State (3-1) (2-1) v. McMurry (1-4) Saturday, 7 p.m. Kickoff
Wichita Falls, TX Memorial Stadium
Prediction: Midwestern State 48 McMurry 21

Angelo State (2-3) (0-1) v. Eastern New Mexico (1-3) (0-1) Saturday, 6 p.m. Kickoff
San Angelo, TX San Angelo Stadium

Both teams come in to this game with a much needed win. You can expect this game to be a fast game because both of these teams love to run the ball. In order for ENMU to have a chance at winning this game, they will have to hit the Rams in their weakness, the secondary. I suspect that they will attempt to exploit it, but continue to try and run it on the ground. The Rams are more talented on the offensive side of the ball and at the running back position. They will push the ball on the ENMU defense but it will not be as easy as they are hoping. Look for ENMU to be ready for the run and make some good plays behind the line of scrimmage. With the Greyhounds big problems in the turnover department, I think that RB Calhoun will eventually wear down the ENMU defense and take the Hounds down in a much needed win.

Prediction: Angelo State 35 Eastern New Mexico 24

Texas A&M Commerce (3-2) (0-2) v. Texas A&M Kingsville (2-2) (0-2) Saturday, 7 p.m. Kickoff
Kingsville, TX Javelina Stadium

Prediction: Texas A&M Commerce 35 Texas A&M Kingsville 28

Game of the Week: West Texas A&M (5-0) (2-0) v. Tarleton State (4-0) (3-0) Saturday, 7p.m. Kickoff
Stephenville, TX Memorial Stadium
Prediction: West Texas A&M 42 Tarleton State 28
