Lone Star Conference Rankings and Super Region 4 Rankings


ENMU really jumped all over West Texas this last week and shook up the LSC standings with their win. Currently, Midwestern is ranked in both the D2Football and AFCA poll at #13/12. West Texas is the top team receiving votes in the AFCA poll and is ranked #21 in the D2Football poll.

Super Region 4 Rankings:nd
Possible scenarios:

How can Midwestern make the playoffs?
Simple. Win out and they are in. If they lose to ENMU or WT, then they could be in some serious trouble of not making the postseason because they did not play 11 division 2 games and that could come back to bite them.
How can Tarleton make the playoffs?
First, the Texans must win out to even have a chance. Second, they will need to see if Grand Valley will fall to Saginaw Valley. Third, they will need to hope they have enough SOS to jump Chadron and the other teams in front of them
How can West Texas make the playoffs?
First and foremost, the Buffaloes have to win out and beat #4 ranked Midwestern State. Second, the Buffaloes really need Grand Valley to lose and that could be enough to put the Buffaloes in the postseason.
If Indianapolis loses that could put another team in the playoffs and the GLVC could actually miss the playoffs this season.
There are several big games and too many unknowns to truly know what will happen.

The Amarillo area has a new show on 1440 AM that airs from 9 to 11 am, M-F. They are a great local radio station that discusses local sports and lots of West Texas and Lone Star Conference events, with plenty of discussion from the fans. I have talked on the show a few times about the Regional Rankings and it has generated lots of discussion amongst fans, because lots of people are intrigued by the way it works and the many possibilities.
