Thoughts on the Upcoming Season:

What a crazy off-season for the Commerce Lions. There were so many things happening in all aspects of recruitment and preparing for this upcoming season. In all honesty, this program needed this type of publicity. The Lions have been at the bottom of the LSC for some time until last season. Kudos to the Commerce Athletics Department and Coaching staff to bring dramatic increase in publicity and a renewed Lions alumni support to this program. This will be a great year for the Commerce Lions with the many outstanding athletes that they have (QB Rollison, WR Johnson, DL Tuaau, RB Bergeron, plus many more that I am missing). This team is loaded with talent and big players. The big concern that I have is that the team does not have a lot of depth. Will they be in trouble if they are compiled with a lot of injuries? It is quite possible. The injury to Rollison last season hurt the team. I have been told that he is good to go and recovered from his season-ending injury from last season.
