Final Thoughts:
Fort Lewis (3-4) v. Western New Mexico (1-6): Saturday, October 21st 1 PM
Silver City, NM
Game Analysis: This game comes down to WNMU pass and the Fort Lewis rushing attack. The Skyhawks look and appear to be the well-rounded team, as well as the more offensively balanced team. Javia has to be at 100% in order for the Mustangs to have a chance to win this game.

Angelo State (3-3) v. #10 Texas A&M Commerce (5-1): Saturday, October 21st 1 PM
Commerce, TX
Game Analysis: Neither one of these teams should be underestimated by any opponent. The Lions are the best defense in the conference, while the Rams have one of the best offenses. Minus 1 game, the Lions have only been exposed significantly against MSU. The Rams have been a little more giving on the defensive side; but, do only allow 355 yards per game (46 more than the Lions). The defense of the Rams will be one of the better ones that the Lions have faced.

Quincy has a common opponent in the LSC, playing Midwestern State, who they lost to by a score of 6-53. The UTPB Falcons have not played Midwestern State this season. I am skeptical about the quality of opponents that Quincy has played in comparison to the opponents that UTPB has faced.
The Falcons continue to battle their counterparts in the LSC. UTPB suffered 6 sacks last week and it negated almost all 71 rushing yards. Plus, they were completely shut down in the rushing attack. This week the Falcons will be taking on a Quincy team that is giving up 468 yards per game, while UTPB is giving up 444 yards per game (24-yard difference). On the offensive side, UTPB is compiling 322 yards per game and Quincy is racking up 280 yards per game.
Quincy has remained balanced most of the season but has not had the defense to stop enough opponents. UTPB has been a little more prolific offensively, just like the LSC motto (all offense). Over the last several weeks, the defense of UTPB has improved and made strides each week. LB Chris Hoad is #3 nationally in Total Tackles with 12.6 tackles per game. An impressive statistic and standing for a program in their 2nd season. LB Keagan Gray is not that far behind him, being ranked #18.
The Falcons have played pretty good but still have several strides to make in their game both offensively and defensively.
Game Analysis: This is probably the most winnable game for the Flacons. They will need to throw everything at Quincy to bring home the win. Defense will decide this game.

Tarleton State (4-3) v. Texas A&M Kingsville (3-4): Saturday, October 21st 7 PM
Kingsville, TXGame Analysis:Texas A&M Kingsville 33 Tarleton State 20
West Texas A&M (3-4) v. Midwestern State: Saturday, October 21st 5 PM
Wichita Falls, TXGame Analysis: These two teams should put on a great show. The question is will the WT offense show up and be competitive. I think the defense will be there but its hard to stay on your feet when the defense is on the field the entire game. They will have a challenge getting to Rabb as the Mustangs rank #13 in sacks allowed with only 4. Hence, the WT defense has their work cut out for them.

I will see you all next week for week 9.
Be safe and God Bless!
