Ben Fiscus set a Clarion quarterback record with 204 rushing yards and accounted for four touchdowns as the Golden Eagles won their first game of the season with a 54-6 rout of visiting Lock Haven.

Fiscus ran for two touchdowns and also threw for two on only three completions as Clarion (1-5, 1-2 PSAC West) posted the fourth-largest margin of victory in school history.

Fiscus had touchdown runs of 70 and 24 yards and hit Mike Deitrick on an 11-yard score and Anthony Becoate from 20 yards out. He led an offensive attack that rolled up 423 rushing yards. John Fuhrer added 111 rushing yards for Clarion.

Brandon Brader ran for 81 for Lock Haven (0-5, 0-3), which lost for the 37th straight time, two shy of Cheyney's PSAC record.

SLIPPERY ROCK 24, EDINBORO 23: Slippery Rock rallied from a 17-point deficit in the third quarter to edge the host Fighting Scots.

Cody Endres passed for 231 yards, including a 5-yard score to Devin Goda with 2:22 remaining that capped the comeback.

The Fighting Scots had one last chance. They drove to the Rock 30 before Ty Stoldt fumbled and Brandon Burley recovered for Slippery Rock (5-1, 3-0 PSAC West).

James Jackson gave 25th-ranked Edinboro (4-2, 1-2) a 20-3 lead when he picked up a blocked field goal and returned it 62 yards. Endres brought the Rock within three on touchdown passes of 8 yards to Ken Amos and 4 yards to LaQuinn Stephens-Howling.

Stoldt, playing in place of the injured Cody Harris, was intercepted three times and the Fighting Scots lost three fumbles, giving them 11 turnovers in their last two games.

CALIFORNIA 33, GANNON 6: California scored 24 unanswered points in the second half to break open a close game and win its fifth in a row after a season-opening loss.

Peter Lalich completed 27 of 41 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns. He found Thomas Mayo on a 9-yard hookup on 15th-ranked California's first drive of the third quarter to give the Vulcans (5-1, 3-0 PSAC West) a 16-6 lead.

Mayo caught a pair of scoring passes while Lamont Smith rushed for 100 yards as California outgained Gannon 479-171.

Ty Watson threw for 155 yards for the Golden Knights (2-4, 1-2) but was sacked six times and picked off twice.

KUTZTOWN 49, EAST STROUDSBURG 32: Kutztown bounced back from its first loss of the season in a shootout that saw the teams combine for a total of 1,221 yards.

Kevin Morton completed 27 of 30 passes for 305 yards, Robbie Frey rushed for 158 and Josh Mastromatto returned a kickoff 100 yards that gave the 23rd-ranked Golden Bears a 28-13 lead in the second quarter.

Kutztown (5-1, 2-1 PSAC East) gained 621 yards of total offense to 600 for the Warriors (1-5, 0-3). Ray Wagner passed for 522 yards, the fourth-highest total in East Stroudsburg history, and three receivers eclipsed the 100-yard mark.

Taylor Groff kicked a 52-yard field goal to pull the Warriors within 35-26 late in the third quarter, but John Kreuer returned an interception 60 yards and Mastromatto sealed it with a 50-yard run.

BLOOMSBURG 45, CHEYNEY 10: Bloomsburg scored on its first six possessions, including four touchdowns by Franklyn Quiteh, in a rout of visiting Cheyney.

The win was the 200th career victory for Bloomsburg coach Danny Hale.

Eddie Mateo rushed for 101 yards and Quiteh had 61 and three scores while also catching a touchdown pass for the second-ranked Huskies (6-0, 3-0 PSAC East). Pat Carey threw only 12 times, completing 10 for 145 yards.

Quiteh scored twice and Mateo went in from 53 yards out to stake the Huskies to a 24-0 lead in the second quarter. A 26-yard pass from Carey to Quiteh made it 31-3 at halftime, and the All-America tailback added a 3-yard scoring run on the Huskies' first drive of the third quarter.

Nahum Purdie rushed for 82 yards for the Wolves (1-5, 0-3).

WEST CHESTER 52, SHIPPENSBURG 17: Matt Carroll threw for 233 yards and four touchdowns to lead West Chester to its first road win in four tries this season.

The Golden Rams (3-3, 2-1 PSAC East) also got 227 yards on the ground, including 112 from Rondell White, to improve to 7-1 against the Raiders in the past eight meetings. Carroll had three touchdown passes in the first half as West Chester built a 28-3 lead.

Shippensburg (3-3, 1-2) pulled within 28-17 at halftime before LaRonn Lee scored on a 39-yard pass from Carroll and a 32-yard run in the second half to help the Golden Rams pull away.

Zach Zulli passed for 278 yards for the Raiders but was intercepted three times.

C.W. POST 24, MILLERSVILLE 6: The Pioneers remained undefeated in the PSAC East behind 264 total yards by quarterback Steven Laurino and a defense that forced four second-half turnovers.

C.W. Post (3-3, 3-0 PSAC East) is perfect through three games in division play for the second straight year but not before finding itself in a close contest with the Marauders (2-4, 1-2) midway through the second quarter.

A 52-yard touchdown run by Marquis White cut the Pioneers' lead to 7-6 with 10:39 left before halftime. But Thomas Beverly scored on a 2-yard run two minutes later, and C.W. Post opened it up in the second half on a 9-yard run by Laurino.
