Gannon's defense and special teams scored a touchdown apiece in the second half to lift the punchless offense and lead the Golden Knights to a 37-13 win over Lock Haven, which lost its 38th consecutive game Saturday.

With Gannon clinging to a two-point lead midway through the third quarter, Jesstin Hamm blocked a Lock Haven punt, and Bryan Kelly returned it 35 yards for a score to increase the Knights' lead to 16-7.

With 13:00 minutes to play, Ta'Von Bailey scored on a 24-yard interception return to put Gannon ahead 23-7.

Gannon's offense added two touchdowns to round out the Knights' 21-point fourth quarter.

Alex Papson had 108 rushing yards and a touchdown for Gannon (3-4, 2-2 PSAC West), and Jansen Jones added 57 yards and a score.

Lock Haven (0-6, 0-4), which is one loss shy of Cheyney's PSAC record, gained 104 total yards and had five turnovers.

SLIPPERY ROCK 17, CALIFORNIA 3: Despite committing five turnovers, Slippery Rock knocked off No. 14-ranked California and moved into first place in the PSAC West standings.

Slippery Rock (6-1, 4-0) allowed a field goal on California's second possession, and after that, the Rock forced the Vulcans into seven punts, three turnovers on downs and a turnover.

Among the Rock's stops was a goal-line stand at the end of the first half, which maintained Slippery Rock's 7-3 lead. California drove 69 yards in seven plays and had first-and-goal at the 1, but the Vulcans couldn't punch it in before time ran out.

Before the Vulcans' drive, Slippery Rock covered 97 yards in 17 plays to take the 7-3 lead with 1:16 left in the first half.

Cody Endres threw a 2-yard touchdown to Jimmy Zubik to cap that drive, and he added a second-half touchdown that rounded out the scoring. Endres had an otherwise forgettable day, with four interceptions.

The Rock gained just 236 total yards, but yielded 273 to California (5-2, 3-1), which entered the game averaging 461.

BLOOMSBURG 38, SHIPPENSBURG 18: After being held in check for 2 1/2 quarters, undefeated Bloomsburg found its step in the third quarter and ended the game by scoring on its last five possessions, including a nine-play, 99-yard drive.

The Huskies (7-0, 4-0 PSAC East) held a slim 7-3 halftime lead, but found themselves trailing 12-7 after Shippensburg's Zack Kinney hauled in the first of two touchdown passes from Zach Zulli with 7:44 to play in the third.

C.W. POST 34, EAST STROUDSBURG 30: C.W. Post overcame a 16-point deficit in a wild and high-scoring first half to pull out a win and ruin East Stroudsburg coach Denny Hale's milestone day.

Hale tied the NCAA Division II record by coaching in his 393rd game, but the Warriors couldn't give him a victory.

The Pioneers fell behind 23-7 with 11:06 to play in the first half, and it looked like ESU (1-6, 0-4) quarterback Ray Wagner was going to have his way with them.

He threw three touchdowns of 60-plus yards in a span of nine minutes to propel the Warriors to their lead.

Wagner finished with 503 yards, becoming the first player with back-to-back 500-yard games in PSAC history.

C.W. Post answered just as quickly, scoring 21 points in the final nine minutes of the first half to take a 28-23 halftime lead.

Marc Montana added a pair of field goals in the second half, and the Pioneers (4-3, 3-0) held on.

WEST CHESTER 23, CHEYNEY 7: West Chester took advantage of two Cheyney turnovers just minutes apart in the second half and turned them into 14 points to pull out a win.

Nursing a 9-7 lead and with Cheyney threatening just outside West Chester's 20-yard line, the Golden Rams got an interception from Bob Sabol to halt Cheyney's momentum.

West Chester responded with an 11-play, 84 yard scoring drive that made it 16-7, and then, Cheyney fumbled the ensuing kickoff to give the ball right back to the Rams.

Five plays later, Matt Carroll connected with Tim Keyser for a 9-yard touchdown pass to make it a two-touchdown lead with about 11 minutes to play.
