Marshall Vogel spelled an injured Kevin Morton and threw two touchdown passes in the second half to rally eighth-ranked Kutztown past No. 24 Slippery Rock, 21-14, for the first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship in school history.

Vogel completed 25 of 39 passes for 300 yards in an unexpected appearance in the conference title game. After Jason Ulmer intercepted a pass to set up the Golden Bears at the Slippery Rock 18-yard line, Vogel hit Josh Mastromatto from 16 yards out with six seconds left in the third quarter to tie the game at 14.

Vogel then led a 67-yard drive that culminated with a 14-yard scoring pass to Erik Frazier with 2:59 remaining and gave Kutztown (10-1) its first lead of the game. The Rock (8-3) reached the Golden Bear 32 before four incomplete passes sealed their fate.

Morton left the game in the second quarter but not before firing a 41-yard touchdown pass to Frazier that created a 7-7 tie. Slippery Rock scored on its first possession on an 8-yard run by Akeem Satterfield and later took a 14-7 lead when Devin Goda caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Cody Endres.

Satterfield rushed for 103 yards and Endres threw for 233 for the Rock, which lost their final two games to likely fall out of the hunt for a playoff berth.

The Golden Bears will be making their second consecutive trip to the NCAA playoffs.

EAST STROUDSBURG 27, EDINBORO 26: Ray Wagner threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Dusty Reed on the final play of the game to stun the Fighting Scots.

Edinboro led 26-13 early in the fourth quarter before the Warriors (3-8) rallied. First, a 1-yard run by Kendrick Williams made it a six-point game, and the Fighting Scots (7-4) wasted a chance to wrap up the win when Brian Davis fumbled the ball into the end zone after Edinboro reached the East Stroudsburg 1.

Wagner then led an 80-yard drive in the final 1:53, including a 9-yard pass to Williams that converted a fourth down to the Edinboro 21 and set the stage for the dramatic game-winning pass.

Wagner threw for 215 yards and Eric Deery rushed for 106 for East Stroudsburg.

Cody Harris had 234 yards through the air for the Fighting Scots, including 11 completions for 91 yards to David Bostic.

CALIFORNIA 43, CHEYNEY 3: Peter Lalich threw five touchdown passes, including a pair to Chedrick Cherry, and California kept its hopes alive for a fifth straight playoff berth by routing Cheyney.

The 18th-ranked Vulcans (9-2) finished the regular season on a four-game winning streak and entered the game fourth in the NCAA Super Region One. The top six teams in the final regional rankings make the playoffs.

Lalich had three touchdown passes in the second quarter, including a 55-yarder to Cherry, to turn a 9-3 California lead into a 26-point halftime cushion. He added two more scores after the break, finding Cherry again on a 46-yard strike. Cherry finished with five catches for 129 yards while Lalich threw for 252.

The California defense limited Cheyney (1-10) to 172 yards of total offense. Chris Anderson had 117 passing yards for the Wolves.

CLARION 34, MILLERSVILLE 20: Patrick Graham-Murphy set a Clarion record with 266 rushing yards and tied the school mark with five touchdowns to lift the Golden Eagles past the Marauders.

Graham-Murphy eclipsed the previous school record of 257 yards set by Demetric Gardner against Slippery Rock in 2001. His five scoring runs matched the record first set by Robert Walker against Glenville State in 2002.

In four games at running back since starting the first seven games of the season at cornerback, Graham-Murphy rushed for 702 yards and 10 touchdowns. His final scoring run of the year was a 50-yarder with 3:32 left that sealed the win for Clarion (3-8).

Marquis White led Millersville (3-8) with 108 rushing yards.

BLOOMSBURG 34, LOCK HAVEN 3: Eddie Mateo and Franklyn Quiteh both eclipsed the 100-yard mark in an easy win for the Huskies.

Bloomsburg, ranked sixth in Super Region One, will find out today if it will advance to the NCAA playoffs.

Mateo rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown, and Quiteh gained 120 to move into fifth place in Bloomsburg history with 3,207 yards in only two seasons.

Pat Carey added a 1-yard touchdown run and an 11-yard scoring pass to Matt Marchioni to stake the 21st-ranked Huskies (9-2) to a 27-0 halftime lead.

Brandon Brader rushed for 122 yards for Lock Haven, which finished 0-10 and has lost 42 in a row since last winning against Clarion in the 2007 season finale.

SHIPPENSBURG 40, MERCYHURST 16: Shippensburg scored the final 27 points in a span of 10 minutes, 23 seconds covering the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarters to pull away from Mercyhurst.

Mike Frenette gave the Raiders (7-4) a 20-16 lead with a 53-yard run and later added a 1-yard plunge. Zach Zulli fired touchdown passes of 64 yards to Trevor Harman and 11 to Jacob Baskerville as part of the Shippensburg comeback.

Frenette rushed for 112 yards and Zulli had 179 yards and three touchdowns through the air. Richie Sanders had a touchdown run and scoring reception for the Lakers (4-7) and combined with Allen Jones for 130 rushing yards.

C.W. POST 33, GANNON 15: Steven Laurino threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns, including one to his brother Grayson, to lead the Pioneers to their third straight win.

With the game tied at 10 in the third quarter, Anthony Brunetti scored from five yards out to give C.W. Post (7-4) a lead it would never relinquish. The Grayson siblings paired up on a 17-yard score on the next possession to make it 23-10, and Joe Botti caught a 23-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to finish off the win.

Jeff Mack added 70 rushing yards for the Pioneers.

Daniel Tapscott passed for 191 yards, and Jansen Jones posted 57 rushing yards and a touchdown for Gannon (4-7).
