The second edition of the Super Region One rankings has been released. Let's take a look at the top 10 in the region:

1. Shepherd 8-0, 8-0 DII

The Rams are again at the top of the Mountain East as they have beaten all comers this year. They still have games on the road at Fairmont State and at home against Urbana. If they win both games, Shepherd will be the top seed in the region and earn the bye.

2. Bowie State 8-1, 8-0 DII

The Bulldogs continues to be the surprise team of the CIAA. They crushed Lincoln last weekend and have just one regular season game left. They will close out on the road at Elizabeth State. If they do make the CIAA championship game, they will have a strong shot at hosting in the first weekend of the playoffs.

3. Charleston 8-1, 8-1 DII

The Golden Eagles have won seven games in a row after defeating West Virginia Wesleyan last week. They have games left against Alderson Broaddus on the road at UVa-Wise. The only loss for Charleston was in Week 2 to current Mountain East leader Shepherd. Charleston is in a good position to host a playoff game if they are able to win out.

4. Slippery Rock 8-1, 8-1 DII

The Rock will take the PSAC West with a victory this weekend over Clarion. They continued to take care of business with a convincing victory over Edinboro. Slippery Rock holds the tiebreaker over IUP based on their victory two weeks ago. If the Rock makes the PSAC championship game, they should stay in the top seven of the region and make the playoffs. If they win the PSAC championship, they will host a first round playoff game.

5. Assumption 8-1, 8-1 DII

The Greyhounds have been the best team in the NE-10. Their latest victory was over Bentley as they clinched home field for the NE-10 championship. They face a tough Stonehill team this weekend before the championship game the following weekend. If Assumption wins out, they are in the playoffs and very close to hosting a first round game depending on the results of the other championship games in the region.

6. IUP 6-2, 6-2 DII

The Crimson Hawks began their playoff push last weekend and defeated Clarion who was ahead of them in the rankings. They face Gannon this weekend before a potential game with West Chester or a slot in the PSAC championship game if Slippery Rock loses. IUP appears to have to win out the regular season in order to stay in position for the playoffs.

7. Virginia Union 7-2, 7-1 DII

The Panthers rebounded nicely with a 43-31 victory over Elizabeth City. They have Virginia State this weekend on the road and need a victory to keep pace. They also need Bowie State to fall in order to tie them in the standings and a possible berth in the CIAA championship.

8. New Haven 6-3, 6-3 DII

The Chargers kept their hopes alive with a 34-3 victory over Pace. They still need to defeat St. Anselm this weekend for a slot in the NE-10 championship game. Their strength of schedule has suffered the last two weeks of the season as they are playing the bottom of the league. If they win out and take the NE-10 championship game, they appear to be headed for postseason play.

9. California 6-3, 6-3 DII

The Vulcans are the lone new team in the rankings this week. They defeated Gannon 42-21 last weekend and knocked them out of the top 10. California has a home date with Mercyhurst and then travels to Lock Haven for the final game of the season. They have lost to Slippery Rock and IUP ahead of them in the PSAC West standings and need both of them to lose this weekend for a shot at the championship game. Playoff scenarios are long unless teams ahead of them fall.

10. Clarion 7-2, 7-2 DII
